Telstra ‘AFL Live'

Shot through 12 hours of rain overnight at the GWS oval, Joel directed the latest Telstra TVC that sees Adam Goodes (Sydney Swans) and Dale Thomas (Collingwood) lead a group of AFL players through the slow motion treacharies of the mud and rain as they chase victory. The footage was then composited into a sculptural formation made from hundreds of flatscreen TV's, tablets and phones within a warehouse space. The camera tracks through the warehouse and the devices switch on displaying the images as the play progresses, tracing the individual trajectories of the ball and players.
