Elektrons ‘Get Up'

On a little scouting trip to India we were given the chance to write on this music video for the Elektrons. Having been a big fan of Jurassic 5 and knowing Soup (aka Zaakir) from J5 was on this track, we had to do this video. On first listen we absolutely fell in love with the old school sound and inspiration started pouring in from films like Wild Style and Breakin’. We pulled a bunch of old hip-hop documentary footage for reference and it quickly defined the direction for the video. We shot a little of our own footage, mixed in some classic docu footage, added a layer of graphics, a badass robot, and an animated Zaakir to make one hell of a fun homage to the good old days.
